I am an Elite One-Stroke Certified Instructor. I certified with Donna Dewberry in her very first certification class in 1997.
I joined the Society of Decorative Painters in 1995 and became a member of the Flordia Suncoast Decorative Artists (FSDA) which is the Tampa, Florida Chapter. I have held many officer positions and I am an active member of the Chapter. I joined the Heart of Pinellas Decorative Artists (HPDA) in 2008 and I am also a very active member there.
I enjoy working in many different mediums such as clay, batik painting, silk dyes, oil paints and rouging, decorator paste, fabric dyes, acrylic paints, face painting, and much more. I enjoy learning and working with new mediums and techniques. I also do a lot of work on glass surfaces.
I teach One-Stroke Painting classes and have taught many programs for groups in the surrounding areas. I try to schedule a painting cruise at least every other year out of the Tampa, FL port with Carnival cruises where we paint while we are at sea. I have taught classes at Michael's, Jo Ann's and several local tole shops.
I am a regional trainer for Studio Home Dimensions. This is a revoluntionary technique for creating unique large-scale home decor items from polymer clay with innovative new forms and tools. I trained at Polyform in Elk Grove, Illinois in October 2007 for my education in this medium. I now use Sculpey for all of my polymer clay classes because the Studio Home Dimensions line is gone.
I have participated at the Florida Strawberry Fesitval in Plant City, Florida since 1994 with a vendor's booth and sell many painted items and supplies. My booth is located in the North Exhibit Tent, Booth #219.
